Get moving challenge

This is a challenge to myself. I am logging out and setting the timer for 15 minutes to clean the kitchen. I will be moving and getting the kitchen cleaned at the same time.

Rules: no leaving the kitchen and no stopping for the full fifteen minutes.

I will then get the kids dressed and take them outside for 20 minutes and then make lunch.

Ready, set, go!!!

Accountability Log WW flex plan Dec 31st 2007

Last day of 2007!

I will update edit this log throughout the day whenever I eat or drink or exercise so I can keep track. I am off to make breakfast. I wish Friday was already here! I can’t go grocery shopping til then and I am stuck trying to make food without going over my points. I think I can do it though with a little modification.

 Updates:

 Food points:

Breakfast-low fat, no sugar yogurt with blueberries and strawberries to make a yogurt smoothis=4 points

Lunch-leftover beans 2 cups with 1/4 cup rice=4 points, salsa=0 points

Dinner and new years snacks:

Dinner-Healthy Choice, chicken and roasted red pepper alfredo sauce.=5 points

crystal light lemondade=0 points

Apricot Bellinis= points=4 points since I am having 2

Total points today=15

Exercise:

5 min on treadmill after my smoothie-I am trying to walk at least 5 minutes after any meal.

1 min jumping on trampoline(could not find it on the exercise log)

Goodnight slimbuddy on a first day!

I was really wanting to start my WW diet on New years day. Then I found slimbuddy today and it is soooooo easy to use and seeing all the blogs really motivated me.

 I decided I would add a daily accountability log, and just edit it throughout the day to keep track of my foodpoints and my exercise. If I am not progressing I may have to add my calories to make sure I am doing enough exercise to lose weight with what I am eating. The only thing I wish is that slimbuddy had a ww calculator to add your points with your exercise, but hey this is good too!

 I am off to shower, yeah yuck I am sitting here sweaty after working out…lol and drying my hair and watching a movie with the kiddos before bed.

Daily accountability log WW

Accountability log for Dec 30th 2007-On Flex plan with 29 points

Had a late start today since we stayed up watching movies last night.

 I used 2 points on a sandwich

I am goint to attempt to stay in my points and still make the enchilada’s with beans and rice dinner I had planned earlier in the week. I am not really prepared to start a diet but I am not putting it off anymore! I will check back later!

update:

I had three-quarter slices of pickles which are free

Dinner cost me a whopping 18 points! EEK! I know if I was not counting points I would have had seconds-how embarassing. I had three homeade turkey enchiladas with 1/2 cup of beans and a 1/2 cup rice. I left out all oil and softened tortillas in the microwave under  damp paper napkin. I had to bake mine seperate to make sure I only used a 1/2 cup of sauce. It was a very satisfying dinner and I am very full.

I will exercise at 8:30 and be back to add it to my log.

Total points today: 20

Total exercise: I walked at 2.5 on the treadmill for 30 min! I wanted to run so bad! I used to be a cross country runner in high school and ran for several more years just for pleasure. I had forgotten what a huge adreneline rush exercise can be.

I will not be eating anymore tonight so I will not update again until tomorrow. I am off to shower and watch a movie with the kiddos before bed. :)

New day, last diet

I am Traci. I am 34 and a stay at home mom and homeschool my children. I run a very large homeschool group, am writing a romance novel and doing the million and one things a mom needs to do to keep up everything at home.

 My weight gain started about four years ago. My husband and I were trying to conceive a baby and the stress started me to overeat for emotional reasons. We were having trouble conceiving so I had to make it worse by gaining weight. I was a healthy size 16, which looked good on me but I quickly gained more and more weight. I ended up conceiving out last baby but the weight has stayed on after almost two years.

 I do have some special concerns since after my sons birth I developed severe life threatning allergies. We think I am allergic to tree nuts but I have not confirmed this yet. This past summer was rough because sweating seems to make me break out in hives, and start itching. This can be terrifying for someone who has anaphylaxis episodes. I have read several articles that allergies such as mine are on the rise in women. I am convinced it might have something to do with my weight gain. I now have a treadmill which allows me to have fans on while I walk, which prevents me from breaking out in hives. The treadmill is a godsend and I am so excited I finally can exercise and feel safe doing so!

I was always an althlete and never had any sort of weight troubles as a child or through my adult years until three years ago. I even find myself  even fooling myself about my weight and how heavy I have gotten. I want to get my competitive drive back and exercise just for the love of exercise again.

No more excuses! I now have a treadmill so it is off to a new start for me. I will use my blog for accountability and will check in daily to keep track.

 I am not sure I want to mess with the food log since I do not see a way to do WW and keep track of my points. I do not want to veiw calories counts just yet since the points are easier.
